Rise Basketball is built on 15+ years of professional youth coaching — and a deep personal investment in this community.
I've been coaching youth basketball for over a decade — from the very first time a 3-year-old touched a ball, all the way through high school varsity competition. What hasn't changed across all of it is the thing that matters most: the moment a kid realizes they can do something they couldn't do before.
My background spans every level of youth basketball programming. I've directed recreational leagues, run traveling club programs, led high school varsity teams, operated summer camps and clinics, and worked as a private trainer. I've seen what works at each age and skill level — and what doesn't.
Rise Basketball is the program I've always wanted to build: professional-quality coaching, delivered in the most convenient possible place for families — right on the school campus your child already attends.
Kids who love coming back learn faster than kids who are drilled into submission. We measure a good practice by whether kids are smiling walking out, not by how many reps they got in.
A real human who knows your kid's name beats a corporate playbook every time. Our coaches know every child, adjust on the fly, and build real relationships. The curriculum serves the kid — never the other way around.
From the 5-year-old in Little Ballers to the 10-year-old running plays in Junior Hoops, there's a real progression. Same coaches. Same values. Same place. Kids grow up inside Rise, not out of it.
Basketball is the vehicle. What we're really developing is confidence, resilience, and the ability to work well with others — skills that matter far beyond the court.
For the youngest players, that means making every session feel like organized play. For older players, it means holding them to real standards while making the process of getting better genuinely fun.
And for parents — you deserve transparency. You'll always know what your child worked on, what they're improving, and what they should practice between sessions.
